It’s something I hear often.
And honestly, I take it as the highest compliment.
Because I’m not here to deliver another generic course.
I’m here to lead a conversation about doing things differently.
Honouring the child’s lead in their play.
Calm environments.
Gentle rhythms.
Rich, responsive interactions that grow from real connection.
These are the things that matter to me.
And maybe that’s because I’m passionate about leading change in the Early Years.
About stepping outside the box we’ve been told to stay inside for far too long.
Because truthfully—what have we got to lose?
We’ve been battling the same problems for decades, and very little has truly changed.
In a sector under immense pressure:
Recruitment, retention, and recognition are all falling short.
5–6% of preschool children—that’s 1 in 18—already have a diagnosable mental health condition.
So many more are unseen, unheard, and unsupported.
Educator burnout is at an all-time high.
According to the 2024 Teacher Wellbeing Index, 78% of teachers experience work-related stress.
And male educators? They make up just 2–3% of the workforce.
This is not just a crisis.
It’s a clear sign that what we’ve always done is no longer working.
We can’t keep rolling out the same training and expect new outcomes.
We can’t keep pushing children into one-size-fits-all models of learning.
And we can’t keep ignoring the wellbeing of the very people who care for our youngest citizens.
Now is not the time to sit back and accept more of the same.
It’s time to ask brave questions.
And it’s time to answer them—with action.
Maybe what we need isn’t another framework.
Another checklist.
Another set of policies.
Maybe we need a radical shift.
A shift towards:
✨ Relationships over results
✨ Process over product
✨ Curiosity over compliance
✨ Connection over control
Because we are the voice of the children we work with.
And I truly believe they need us to act differently now.
To act with courage.
With heart.
And with their best interests at the centre of every single decision we make.
If this resonates with you, then you’re in the right place.
This is the work I do.
And I’d love to walk alongside you as we imagine—and build—something better, together.
